What happens when the stage lights go out and the fans stop following you?
That’s the question SBS’s upcoming Kdrama, Spring of Youth aims to explore. Directed by Kim Sung Yong, who is well known for emotionally rich dramas like My Dearest, the series promises a youthful story of a famous K-pop artist who has lost his fame and has decided to continue his studies.
Sa Gye (played by Ha Yoo Joon), once lived a life most people could only dream of. As the frontman of The Crown, the most famous K-pop band, his days were packed with spotlight, music, and fan adoration. But unexpectedly one day he is removed from the band and decides to continue his studies, just like normal teenagers. He gets himself enrol into a university.
There he meets Kim Bom (played by Park Ji Hu), a hardworking student balancing her studies in practical music and multiple part-time jobs. Although she once dreamt of joining Ivy League, but after losing her mother, life became hard for her. Dreams took a backseat and she was forced to earn her livelihood.
Still, music remained her one constant.

Things change for both of them when they come together. As they navigate university life, Sa Gye and Bom form a a band with their friends. Their university band consists of :
- Seo Tae Yang (Lee Seung Hyub), a musical prodigy and campus icon.
- Gong Jin Goo (Kim Sun Min), a drummer who keeps things grounded.
- Bae Gyu Ri (Seo Hye Won), Bom’s cousin and Sa Gye’s enthusiastic supporter.
Sprint of Youth Release Date and Time
Spring of Youth Kdrama is all set to release on May 6. The first two episodes of this KDrama will release on May 6 and 7 at 10:40 p.m. KST. After that new episode will come out every Wednesday night.
Spring of Youth is aimed towards younger Kdrama fans who love college romance and the idea of “dreams.” While we don’t know yet which OTT streaming site will release this Kdrama, but we will let you know once we hear anything.
